The education of the child about protection and respect for Wildlife and Flora is very important. The child is our future , so it is our duty to teach him the importance of respecting and protecting the world in which he lives. Very fortunate that we have in Africa wildlife Parks that offer educational programs for children. Then they are in direct contact with the wild world and all its wonders.

Lions roaring , meerkats scurrying around and vultures surveying the scene, you are at the LORY PARK ZOO.
Lory Park Zoo in Midrand is home to a large display of animals consisting of endangered , exotic and indigenous species .
Big and small, sweet, hairy and scary, Tigers, Lions, Leopards, and Caracal, various primates and a wide selection of birds, of prey are just some of the animals that call the zoo their home .
Lory Park Zoo gives children age 8 and 16 the opportunity to experience working at a zoo.
Getting down and dirty like a real zoo keeper, cleaning enclosures, preparing food and feeding the animals, making of enrichment toys and after a hard day work as a new keeper...relax and play with some
of the baby animals being cared for at the zoo.
This is a fun filled day that is both educational and recreational.
Ranger days are presented every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the April school holidays.
If you always wanted to work with animals this is the place to be.
TIME: 7.30am-4.00pm
COST: R140- per child includes a light lunch and certificate.
AGE: 8 to 16 years old.
