Born August 19, 1935, Massachusett, it is one of the most experienced NASA with a 30 year career, ranging from the Apollo era of the 60s, to the program of the Space Shuttle era of the 90s.
It is the only astronaut to have flown on each of 5 Shuttles.
Né le 19 Août 1935 dans le Massachusett, il est l'un des astronautes les plus expérimentés avec ses 30 années de carrière , passant par l'ère d'Apollo des années 60 jusqu'à l'ère de la Navette Spatiale des années 90.

VLADIMIR PLETSER
Vladimir Pletser, was born in Brussels on 28 february 1956.
He participated in the development and coordination of many experiments that will be fly aboard the Space Shuttle or the Russian Space Station ; MIR.
Responsable for parabolic flights of ESA, it has more than 16 hours of weightlessness, the equivalent of more than 10 Earth orbits accumulated during campaigns in Europe, Russia or the USA.
Vladimir Pletser est né à Bruxelles le 28 février 1956.
Il a participé au dévelopement et à la coordination de nombreuses expériences ayant volé à bord de la navette spatiale américaine ou de la station spatiale russe : MIR.
Responsable des vols paraboliques de l'ESA , il totalise plus de 16 heures d'impesanteur, soit l'équivalent de plus de 10 orbites terrestres, accumulées lors de campagnes en Europe , en Russie ou aux Etats-Unis.

He was the pilot of STS 41-G , launched from Kennedy Space Center Oktober 5, 1984 aboard Challenger.
It is the 152th astronaut, the 81th American astronaut.
Selection Group: Group 8 of NASA in 1978.
Flying time : 8 days- 5 hours - 23 minutes - 33 seconds.
Return to Kennedy Space Center: Oktober 13, 1984.

He studied there Music at the Conservatory of Music and psychology at the University.
Moving between traditional and modern he is today a composer in full.
He very kindly created the music and the clip of our association.
